Rev. Dennis Abraham served as the Vicar of the Mar Thoma Church of Silicon Valley, along with Mar Thoma Church of San Francisco Bay Area and the Mar Thoma Congregation, Sacramento, until April 2022. Achen was born and brought up in New York, and is a member of the St. John’s MTC, NY. He completed his B.A. in Psychology (Minor in Religious studies), from Hofstra University in 2006.

He completed his Bachelor’s in Divinity at the Mar Thoma Theological Seminary, Kottayam, and was ordained in 2011 as ‘Shemshano’ (Deacon) in Thiruvalla, and subsequently as ‘Kasseesa’ (Priest) in New York. Achen served as the Youth Chaplain of the South East Region of the Diocese, from 2013-2018. Achen served at the Sehion MTC & St. Peter’s MTC, Venmony (Kerala) from 2011-2013. Achen also obtained a Master’s Degree in Liturgical Studies from the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, CA.

Achen’s family is from New York. Achen enjoys ministry, and on his free time, loves to play the piano and travel.
